Why? Do you want to experience Britain like a local? Do you want to shoot some incredible photographic locations not on the traditional tourist trail? Do you want to progress your photography in a fun and nurturing environment? If the answer to these questions is yes, then you should look at joining us for one of our photographic tours. We have 13 day/12 night tours that allow you to explore the incredible diversity of imaging opportunities that Britain offers, each with a relaxed and flexible schedule that enables you to have a hand in the planning and practice the tyype of photography you want. To avoid wasting time travelling between locations at all end sof the country, and avoiding the dullness of the motorways where we can, these tours are arranged geographically to allow you to explore in depth and spend longer at the best photo spots and maximising your portfolio of imagery.
Who? These tours are ideally suited to participants with a passion for photography and travel, however, the "syllabus" is flexible and we can easily accomodate those just starting out in photography who are more keen to experience the real Britain away from the tourist traps. As there are a significant number of walks available on each tour (some which we grade as strenuous), a reasonable level of fitness will help you to make most of the opportunities.

From the picture-postcard perfect villages of Somerset to the windswept surf-beaches of the Atlantic coast, the south west of England has an incredible array of photographic locations. Your 13 day (12 nights) journey will take you on a rollercoaster ride through history and geography as you experience some of the most outstanding vistas England has to offer and by the end you will have memory cards packed with portfolio-worthy imagery, as well as being qualified to determine if the jam or the cream should go onto the scone first!
Your tour starts in Bristol, the first city of the west, taking some time to get to know one another and learning some key tips whilst exploring Brunel's legacy and Banksy's present. We move just a few miles down the road to the spa town of Bath and it's spectacular architecture that spans two millennia before exploring East Somerset and it's glorious, unspoilt towns and villages. As we head westwards again, we enter West Somerset, taking a steam train trip through the Quantock Hills before seeing a castle that belongs in a fairytale and our first seaside resort. Next, we explore Exmoor - Lorna Doon country - with it's tiny villages, thatched cottages and smugglers retreats. As we reach the twin towns of Lynton & Lynmouth we see the coastal scenery begin to change as the Bristol Channel opens into the Atlantic Ocean and there is the chance to shoot some astro photography in the dark sky reserve on the moorland behind the towns. We have now crossed the county border into Devon and at Woolacombe we can experience the true, raw power of the Atlantic Ocean as it pounds the wide surf beaches and tiny, shell-strewn coves around. Soon we are crossing the county border again, this time entering Cornwall, England 's most westerly and a region of strong contrasts. Here we will find the spectacular coastal scenery pockmarked by highly photogenic remnants of the tin industry, interspersed with working fishing villages that have become TV stars in their own right. As we approach the very south-western tip of England - Lands-End indeed - we see evidence of the prehistoric settlement of the region before we move to the more gentile southern coastline and explore the dramatic castles that lie amongst some the most picturesque fishing ports in the world. As we approach the end of this tour we cross back into Devon with the seafaring city of Plymouth, famous for Drake's bowling match on the Hoe, and the isolated splendour of Dartmoor on our itinerary before a final night in the English Riviera resort town of Torquay. Tour participants who need to can leave early can do so from here for trains to London or join us for a final morning in Devon before we conclude in Exeter later that day.
